Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) was awarded by the Health Bureau to operate the North District Health Centre Express from 18 October 2021. “Energize Your Life Healthy North District" is the theme of North District Health Centre Express. To facilitate residents' easy accessibility, we have set up a core centre in Sheung Shui and 3 service points in Fanling, Sha Tau Kok and Ta Kwu Ling to provide a diversity of primary health services.
Through public-private partnership and medical-social collaboration, North District Health Centre Express provides district-based primary healthcare services aiming to:
YWCA was founded by a group of devoted Christian women in 1920. As a diversified social service organisation with more than 100 units all over Hong Kong, YWCA have an annual service attendance exceeding 3 million, serving different groups of people in need, including toddlers, children, youth, women, adults, elderly and families.
The core centre of North District Health Centre (DHC) Express was set up in Spot, adjacent to the MTR Sheung Shui Station. Service hours of two days a week extended to 9 pm to facilitate the accessibility and service utilization. In addition, service points in Fanling, Sha Tau Kok and Ta Kwu Ling cater the need of residents living in remote areas or rural areas.
In addition to the diversified health promotion and education activities, the core centre is equipped with brand-new smart health management equipment, enabling members to keep track personal exercise data and progress as well as having continuous health monitoring, promoting the primary health care services for “Energizing Life in Healthy North District”!
