The Health Bureau is organising the first edition of the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Culture Festival for the period December 2024 to February 2025, to promote the CM culture in collaboration with the industry. The festival will feature over 200 promotional activities for Chinese medicine (CM) culture to enhance interest and understanding on wisdom and concepts of CM for fostering CM inheritance and development.   

In response to the Awareness of Mental Health – Mental Wellness Month in December, the North District Health Centre Express has prepared a series of activities focusing on promoting mental health to remind everyone care for the others .

(Chinese version only) 「早知早預防」，日前北區地區康健站四出宣傳「慢病共治計劃」，鼓勵大家關注糖尿病及高血壓，登記篩查及治理。根據醫務衞生局截至上月底的資料，發現完成篩查的參加者中，近四成被診斷為血糖偏高，或患有糖尿病或高血壓，♀所以大家要盡早行動。

In response to the Diabetes Awareness Month in November, the North District Health Centre Express has prepared a series of activities focusing on promoting less sugar less salt knowledge in November to remind everyone prevent diabetes.

In the past three years, North District Health Centre Express has provided health services to the community and worked with everyone to build a better and healthier life. We will continue to raise the health awareness of everyone.

Regular physical activity can provide plenty of health benefits. Walking is an easy and feasible starting point for developing the habit of regular physical activity in daily life. Apart from improving cardiopulmonary function, strengthening muscle and bone, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes and certain cancers, walking can improve mental health and relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety. Adults are recommended to gradually increase their daily step goal to 10,000 based on individual’s own physical conditions, abilities, pace and circumstances. Even if the goal cannot be reached yet, any amount of walking is better than sitting.

In response to the Breast Cancer Month in October, the North District Health Centre Express has prepared a series of activities focusing on promoting breast health knowledge in October to help everyone know more about breast cancer threats.
